Bioregulatory medicine

This system of medicine is modern and sophisticated and is the most prescribed form of natural medicine in Germany, where it has been used for over 50 years and is practiced by both conventional doctors and complementary doctors. Originally developed by Dr Reckeweg as an expansion of Homoeopathic philosophy, it is fast becoming a bridge between conventional and alternative treatment and the efficacy and safety of Bioregulatory medicine is supported by close to 100 clinical trials.

Homeopathy vs Bioregulatory medicine

The maintenance of physiologic balance or homeostasis is central to the idea of optimum health and wellbeing and is the mainstay of bioregulatory medicine. This system of medicine is a medical paradigm that focuses itself on the complexity that exists between the intra and extracellular spaces, and its particular healing method is designed around an individual’s ability to regulate, regenerate, adapt and self heal. Medicines are chosen and prescribed based on a consideration of the patient’s self-regulatory and homeostatic mechanisms, in order to effect:

  • Detoxification and drainage of toxins and metabolites from exogenous and endogenous sources.
  • Immunomodulation of the body, in particular acute and chronic inflammatory responses.
  • Functional organ and cellular support

Bioregulatory medicine is a bridge between orthodox medicine which has a focus on tissue integrity and homoeopathy which has a focus on the systemic effects of imbalance within the person. It can effectively provide a framework to understand its effect at the tissue level, furthermore it can provide health care solutions which may be used alone or used to complement orthodox treatment without drug interactions.
